I am a Ph.D. student in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. My advisors are Bonnie E. John and Len Bass.

Professional Interests: I am excited about improving user experience in all kinds of interactive software. I am dedicated to working with people to create things that make their lives more fun and their work easier, both in the long term through research and the nearer term via product development. I am passionate about helping people communicate and feel more interconnected.

For the last few years I have focused on the early part of the software life cycle, helping software architects understand how to design for usability requirements.

Current areas of interest are user experience studies, online social communities, social media, computer-supported cooperative work, and usability throughout the software life cycle.
